Job summary

Seattle Bouldering Project is seeking an Operations Specialist to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for climbers and guests. You will support front desk operations, maintain cleanliness, and help with gym programs and events.

The role is part-time with evening hours (2-10pm on weekdays) and flexible weekend availability. Prior customer service or cashiering experience is preferred, with a focus on empathy and teamwork in a climbing community setting.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excitement about working in a climbing, fitness, and community environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient guests, introduce them to the space and rules.
• Process purchases, returns, and account updates at the register.
• Respond to and resolve customer concerns, escalating when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized gym, including lobby and retail areas.
• Support gym programs, parties, and events as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate to uphold a welcoming culture.
