Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Cruise & Excursions Director to lead onboard guest engagement and ashore excursions for a demanding, high-touch experience on our American-made ships.

You will oversee entertainment, enrichment programs, shore excursions, and vendor coordination, while delivering top-tier service and representing the brand at ports of call. This full-time onboard role requires energy, polished presentation, and a passion for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Strong social skills.
• Strong critical thinking and presentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment required.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. geography preferred.
• TWIC credential required.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs.
• Effectively communicate to guests via shipboard daily program and PA system.
• Oversee shore excursions, inventory, and vendor communications.
• Promote onboard sales and brand loyalty.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors, coaches, guides and entertainers.
• Ensure lounges are prepared for activities and shows.
• Meet and greet entertainers and review scheduling.
• Inform crew of daily excursion offerings.
• Report to Home Office on cruise status and guest issues.
