Job summary

The Cincinnati Art Museum is hiring a Visitor Services Coordinator to lead the front-line team and ensure a welcoming, organized lobby experience for all visitors. This full-time role oversees staff scheduling, ticketing, and collaboration with departments across the museum.

Based in Cincinnati, OH, the position requires strong communication, data entry, and cash handling skills, with occasional evening or Sunday coverage to support events and programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years in customer service and cash handling.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and workflow in the museum lobby, including phone calls and guest reception.
• Schedule Visitor Services staff, daily coverage, and special events.
• Implement policies to support service standards and benchmark performance.
• Maintain and update training documents for Visitor Services staff.
• Oversee communications and weekly emails for the team.
• Coordinate with Philanthropy and Learning & Interpretation on ticketing for events.
