Job summary

The Tides by the Sea in Seaside, Oregon is seeking a Front Desk Agent to be the guests' first contact and manage reservations, check-ins and check-outs with warmth and efficiency.

Responsibilities include registering guests, informing about rates and amenities, handling payments, upselling services, coordinating with housekeeping, and delivering memorable service for VIP guests and events along the North Oregon Coast.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service or hospitality experience.
• Minimum high school education.
• Pleasing, hospitable demeanor to engage guests.
• Proficient with computers, email, and hotel reservations software.
• Good phone etiquette and courtesy.
• Understanding of travel planning websites.

Responsibilities

• Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
• Manage online and phone reservations.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data.
• Register guests with required information.
• Welcome guests and escort to rooms.
• Provide information about hotel, rates, and amenities.
• Provide service recovery for challenges.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure clean, furnished rooms.
• Confirm group reservations and arrange VIP services.
• Upsell additional services when appropriate.
• Maintain records of bookings and payments.
• Maintain neat, groomed appearance and assist team as needed.
• Perform duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
