Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a friendly Front Office Agent to warmly welcome guests from check-in to check-out, ensuring a seamless arrival experience in our downtown hotel connected to the convention center.

You will assign rooms, verify payments, promote hotel services, and resolve guest inquiries while maintaining a polished lobby and coordinating with other departments to guarantee memorable stays. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; veterans encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year guest service experience in hotel/hospitality.
• Experience with a Property Management System (Opera preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
• Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
• Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
• Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
• Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
