Job summary

The Belamar Hotel is seeking a Guest Service Representative to create a warm welcome and ensure smooth front desk operations. You will check in guests, manage departures, handle cash and reservations, and provide local recommendations with genuine hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with guests.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide a friendly, efficient check-in experience.
• Process guest departures, close accounts, and ensure charges are accurate.
• Handle cash, credit transactions, receipts, and guest accounts per procedures.
• Answer guest questions and offer knowledgeable recommendations about the hotel and area.
• Manage reservations by phone and in person, communicating rates and availability.
• Use suggestive selling to add value and enhance guest experience.
• Stay informed about hotel amenities and local events to assist guests confidently.
• Answer calls, assist with wake-up calls, and manage guest communications.
• Maintain front desk logs and distribute information to keep the team informed.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members across departments.
• Assist other hotel teams as needed to support guest experience.
• Maintain a professional, positive presence during every interaction.
