Job summary

HHM Hotels in Alexandria, VA seeks a Guest Service Agent to greet guests, register arrivals, and provide courteous service in line with brand and sustainability standards.

You will handle payments, reservations, and PMS operations, respond to requests, resolve complaints, and balance accounts to support smooth front-desk operations across shifts.

The role offers growth toward Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator and includes benefits such as insurance, PTO, and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience or equivalent training required.
• Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately and offer to assist with their needs.
• Register guests and assign rooms.
• Establish methods of payment and verify credit.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
• Transmit and receive messages using the PMS system.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and resolve guest complaints, elevating to supervisor if necessary.
• Secure guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes.
• Balance accounts and conduct audits.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and improve service.
• Practice safe work habits and follow OSHA standards.
• Assist in breakfast area or luggage during peak periods.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform other duties as requested.
