Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB is seeking a Front Desk Agent. You will greet guests, check in/out, and provide information about local attractions in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role emphasizes courteous service, accuracy in cash handling, and teamwork with housekeeping and restaurant staff. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a customer service role with high guest interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Able to stand, move, and perform front desk duties for extended periods.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Experience with hotel software (Galaxy) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and check guests in/out efficiently.
• Provide accurate information about outlets and local attractions.
• Handle payments, process vouchers, and balance a house bank.
• Resolve guest issues with courtesy and timely follow-up.
• Maintain front desk area and assist other hotel departments as needed.
