Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts at The Whaler Resort in Ka'anapali Beach, Lahaina, Hawaii, seeks a Front Desk Associate to welcome guests, check in/out, handle payments and assist with inquiries. Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Good calculator skills for moderately complex math.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office and perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and assist with requests.
• Complete registration and input guest information and rates in the system.
• Issue keys, provide welcome materials and assist with luggage as needed.
• Handle payments, settle accounts and process currency exchanges.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages to guests.
• Resolve guest concerns with appropriate action and escalation as needed.
