The role involves room assignment, key coding, and ensuring smooth check-out experiences. Candidates should have hotel experience, strong customer service, and the ability to handle cash and navigate a computer system.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to perform moderate mathematical calculations without error.
• Ability to interact with customers professionally and diplomatically.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Ability to input information via computer system accurately.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. military experience valued; all qualified candidates invited.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Provide accurate information on outlet hours and local attractions.
• Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system.
• Promote HEI Hotels and Resorts and brand marketing programs.
• Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs.
• Code electronic keys and manage room numbers and rates.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic methods.
• Handle cash, balance an assigned house bank, and record payments.
• Convert foreign currency at posted rates and post charges to guest rooms.
• Promptly answer the telephone and relay messages to guests.
• Close guest accounts at check-out and resolve dissatisfaction with solutions.
