Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to provide outstanding guest service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet and assist guests, demonstrate product knowledge, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining store standards.

You will help guests with efficient checkouts, explain app features, and support order pickup, drive-up, and returns. A flexible schedule, teamwork, and a positive, helpful attitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks.
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
