Job summary

The Hay-Adams in Washington, DC is seeking a PBX Operator to act as the communications hub of the hotel. You will answer external and internal calls, provide hotel and local area information, and log requests to other departments to ensure timely guest service.

Successful applicants will have a High School diploma or equivalent and strong English communication skills. Prior customer service and basic computer experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• General computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answer all external hotel calls and connect to the appropriate extension.
• Provide information about the hotel and local area to callers.
• Log requests and calls to other departments and follow through.
• Assist guests with inquiries and urgent needs with courtesy and professionalism.
• Maintain daily activity logs and support front office tasks as needed.
