Job summary

The Hay-Adams in Washington, DC, is seeking a PBX Operator to serve as the hotel’s communications hub. You will answer external and internal calls, connect guests to extensions, log requests, and assist with front office tasks to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, strong English communication, and a calm, professional telephone presence. Basic computer skills are required, with a willingness to learn hotel policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• General computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answer external calls and connect the caller with their desired party.
• Answer internal calls and assist the guest as needed.
• Log requests and calls to other departments; ensure timely handling of guest requests.
• Take guest wake-up requests and ensure timely wake-up calls.
• Assist with front office tasks and maintain daily activity logs.
