Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a PBX Operator to professionally answer and direct all calls, handle guest requests, and ensure timely communication between hotel departments. You will create a positive first impression, maintain efficient communication, and deliver courteous, accurate, and timely service to guests and associates.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods or for an entire work shift.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct all internal and external calls.
• Handle guest requests and ensure timely communication between hotel departments.
• Enter orders and manage In-Room Dining in MICROS POS.
• Follow up on guest requests and concerns using the service recovery process.
• Maintain knowledge of all hotel amenities, rates, and procedures.
• Direct calls to appropriate personnel and relay messages promptly.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with Front Office SOPs.
• Support other duties and projects as assigned by management.
