Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a PBX Operator to professionally handle calls, assist guests, and coordinate with hotel departments to deliver timely service.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and computer skills; familiarity with Opera, MICROS, and other hotel systems; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; weekend and holiday availability; and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Perform repetitive motions, including use of telephone and computer, for extended periods or for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct all internal and external calls.
• Handle guest requests and ensure timely communication between hotel departments.
• Enter In-Room Dining orders into MICROS POS system.
• Maintain familiarity with Ideal Services, PBX Moments of Service.
• Direct phone calls to appropriate personnel.
• Follow service recovery processes for guest concerns.
• Enter alerts into Opera and Synergy and coordinate with departments.
• Maintain professional appearance and protect guest information.
