Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a PBX Operator to professionally answer and direct all calls, handle guest requests, and ensure timely communication across hotel departments. You will enter alerts into Opera and Synergy and coordinate with Front Desk, Guest Services, Housekeeping, F&B, and other teams for accurate, courteous service.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

Prior customer service experience required.
Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods or for an entire work shift.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct internal and external calls professionally.
Handle guest requests and ensure timely communication between hotel departments.
Enter alerts accurately into Opera and Synergy and follow up with affected departments.
Direct calls to appropriate personnel and maintain guests' wake-up calls.
