Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly, guest-focused Server for The Studio in Milwaukee. You will guide guests through a diverse menu, ensure accurate orders, and maintain a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, inputting orders in the POS, delivering meals, handling payments, and maintaining station cleanliness. Prior hospitality experience and cash handling are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain service standards and steps of service.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• English literacy to understand menus, promotions, and explain orders.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Prior hospitality/food & beverage experience required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet the guest in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials/promotions.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest.
• Input the order into the POS to inform the kitchen of the order specifics.
• Deliver orders and comply with liquor regulations.
• Interact with guests and maintain a positive attitude.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
• Present and collect payment for the check.
• Assist bus team with clearing and resetting tables.
• Perform general cleaning tasks and replenish condiments.
