Cengage Group is seeking a Business Product Owner in Ohio to lead GTM systems strategy, design, and analytics for the global sales organization. You will own the product roadmap for GTM tools like Salesforce and Gong, working with tech teams to deliver scalable solutions and improve sales efficiency.

The role focuses on data governance, funnel metrics, and end-to-end sales processes, with cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue growth and CRM governance across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Product Ownership, Revenue Operations, or related roles.
• Deep experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce) and GTM tools (e.g., Gong, marketing automation).
• Proven track record of owning and delivering product roadmaps in a GTM or CRM environment.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end sales processes (lead-to-close-to-renewal).
• Experience building and interpreting Salesforce reports and dashboards to drive insights.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current sales tools and improve Salesforce effectiveness across regions.
• Act as business owner of GTM systems (Salesforce, Gong), delivering scalable solutions.
• Lead optimization and administration of the GTM tech stack, driving automation and global consistency.
• Stay ahead of Salesforce and productivity tool trends to boost funnel conversion.
• Design end-to-end sales processes from lead through renewal to improve conversions.
• Define, track, report on funnel and sales metrics; ensure data accuracy and governance.
• Oversee CRM governance, audits, data standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations for alignment.
• Deliver insights and tools to enhance decision-making and performance.
