Job summary

Motive is seeking a Lead FP&A Analyst to join our GTM Finance team. You will translate business performance into insights, support disciplined planning, and help leaders make data-driven decisions on growth, efficiency, and investments.

You will partner with GTM leaders, manage forecasting processes, and develop models covering headcount, expenses, and key metrics like pipeline and conversion. Strong analytical skills and an AI-enabled mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or related analytical field.
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (HEX a plus).
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, scenario modeling, and executive reporting.
• Ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and explain analysis clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting for GTM functions.
• Lead budget-versus-actuals analysis and communicate actionable recommendations.
• Build models for headcount, OPEX, and GTM investments.
• Partner with leaders on annual plans, quarterly outlooks, and scenario analyses.
• Develop GTM metrics understanding (pipeline, retention, churn, sales efficiency).
• Prepare executive-ready reports for leadership reviews and board-related requests.
• Reconcile data across systems and improve data quality and control.
• Support headcount planning and capacity modeling across GTM.
• Create dashboards and automate FP&A processes to scale workflows.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Data, Revenue Ops, People, and Corporate FP&A.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for strategic initiatives.
