Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled Welding Technician to operate GTAW welding equipment and perform welds on various materials at our Wilson, NC facility. You will read technical drawings, follow WPS guidelines, and maintain high-quality welds through inspection and repair.

The role requires attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work third shift in a manufacturing environment. Training and cross-functional support are expected as part of the team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) with related technical education preferred.
• 1+ years GTAW welding experience and 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment per drawings and WPS ranges; prepare materials.
• Perform manual, semi-automatic, mechanized GTAW welding on thin-gauge materials.
• Inspect welds for quality using calipers, micrometers, and NDT methods.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Assist in training other welders and plan/perform various welding tasks.
