Pratt Whitney in Asheville, NC, is seeking a skilled welder for second shift (Mon-Thurs, 4:15 p.m. – 2:45 a.m.). You will perform GTAW/TIG welding, read operation sheets and drawings, and ensure weld quality with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year GTAW (TIG) welding experience.
• U.S. citizenship required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform welding in Finish End operations.
• Maintain required GTAW/TIG welding certifications.
• Weld from operation sheets and drawings to meet specs.
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and record results.
• Identify weld defects and correct geometry as needed.
• Follow procedures and checklists for equipment upkeep.
