Job summary

RTX seeks an onsite GTAW welding specialist for the Finish End unit in US-NC-ASHEVILLE. The role requires maintaining welding certifications and performing non-production welding tasks, including laser and tack welds, using operation sheets and drawings to assemble and inspect welded parts.

Responsibilities include measuring with precision tools, correcting weld geometry, and following written procedures for upkeep; the position is weekend night shift Fri–Sun 6pm–6:30am. U.S.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to targeted systems.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently performs welding operations in the Finish End welding loops.
• Maintains required welding certifications.
• Performs non-production welding tasks such as laser weld and tack weld.
• Works from operation sheets, drawings, and instructions to gather tools and to weld parts and check work.
• Uses fixed and variable measuring instruments to verify dimensions and record results.
• Recognizes weld indicators that deviate from specifications and corrects weld geometry.
