Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor and operate GSOC applications, produce incident reports, and communicate findings to leadership. The role emphasizes situational awareness, threat and incident analysis, and intelligence operations.

You will review alerts, correlate data across systems, assess risk, and support continuous improvement through metrics and reporting. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a GSOC or similar security ops environment.
• Follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation accuracy.
• Remain calm, professional, and organized in fast-paced settings.
• Multitask across dashboards, feeds, and channels.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate GSOC applications and platforms including incident management, communications tools, intelligence feeds, and travel risk platforms
• Maintain continuous situational awareness through dashboards, alerts, intelligence reporting, and automated notifications
• Correlate and analyze data across multiple systems to assess incidents, threats, and operational risk
• Conduct initial threat, risk, and impact assessments and determine severity and escalation requirements
• Monitor executive travel and key events through threat intelligence and open-source analysis
• Produce analytical incident reports, intelligence summaries, notifications, and shift handover documentation
• Communicate timely and accurate information to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• Analyze trends and metrics to support risk mitigation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
