Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a GSOC Analyst to join our global security operations center, providing tactical intelligence on a 24/7/365 basis. The role covers the swing shift (Tue-Sat, 2:00 pm–11:00 pm CT) and involves updating clients on potential threats to enable crisis decisions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a Security Operations Center or Risk Assessment Center, strong OSINT skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Hybrid work is supported where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Political Science, or Business Management.
• 2+ years’ experience in a Security Operations Center or Risk Assessment Center.
• Geopolitical awareness and knowledge of global events.
• Experience testing and implementing new tools/technologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous military or law enforcement experience a plus.
• OSINT experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime when needed.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Understanding of security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-oriented skills.
• Ability to perform under stressful and demanding situations.

Responsibilities

• Identify geopolitical events impacting Client employees, events, and facilities; notify the Global Security Intelligence Team.
• Proactively suggest ideas to support program growth.
• Identify gaps in GSOC program and raise to team leads.
• Use OSINT to identify risks affecting personnel, assets, reputation.
• Test and aid rollout of new tools and social media parsing tools.
• Serve as primary center for incident reporting and notifications.
• Assess security issues or emergencies; respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with GSOC Lead Specialist to improve processes.
• Interact with employees, executives, and contractors.
• Oversee contract security staff on-site; provide guidance.
• Support internal customers with security-related needs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
