Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a GSOC Analyst to join our global security operations center, delivering tactical intelligence on a 24/7/365 basis and notifying stakeholders in crisis events. The role covers swing shift (2:00 pm–11:00 pm CT) and requires collaboration with executives and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in security-related fields and has 2+ years in a security operations environment, OSINT experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security, political science, or business management.
• 2+ years in a Security Operations Center or Risk Assessment Center.
• Experience with OSINT techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Identify geopolitical events impacting client employees, events, and facilities and provide notifications to the Global Security Intelligence Team.
• Proactively find new ideas to support team growth.
• Identify gaps with GSOC products and raise to team leads to build on successes.
• Utilize OSINT to identify security risks affecting personnel, assets, and reputation.
• Test and assist in implementing new tools and technologies including OSINT and social media parsing tools.
• Receive incidents involving personnel/assets and initiate notification to response personnel.
• Assess security issues or emergencies suitably.
• Work with GSOC Lead Specialist to identify areas for process improvement.
• Interact with employees, executives, and contractors.
• Provide daily guidance and oversight of contract security staff onsite.
• Provide security-related support to internal customers.
• Handle sensitive information with limited supervision.
• Understand and interpret security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
