Job summary

Amentum in San Diego, CA is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Worker to repair GSE under the supervision of a Mechanic. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and document service actions to keep equipment ready for operations.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years' experience with automotive/mobile equipment, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to obtain U.S. Government clearance. Travel to remote locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience on Automotive/Mobile Equipment or relevant training.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain security clearance.
• Pre-employment drug screening; must speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot GSE and prepare for storage; document maintenance actions.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; test and service equipment.
• Disassemble/assemble components; handle corrosion, cleaners, and hazardous materials per regulations.
• Maintain vehicle records; provide dispatch service for GSE and support aircraft maintenance.
• Travel to remote locations with short notice; perform other duties as needed.
