Job summary

Amentum in United States is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to diagnose malfunctions and repair GSE, train lower grade workers, and inspect completed maintenance actions.

You will study drawings and schematics, use digital test equipment, keep equipment records, and support aircraft maintenance with dispatch services. Qualifications include 4+ years on GSE, diesel/electrical experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working on GSE or equivalent equipment.
• FRC rework procedures, publications and schematics familiarity.
• Diesel and electrical mechanic experience.
• Experience using special tools/equipment.
• Must read and implement safety, operational, quality and environmental requirements.
• Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• Must obtain Navy Local Population ID Card/Base Access Pass.
• Must obtain Secret Security Clearance (CAC).
• Must speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair GSE and related equipment.
• Advise and train lower grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex problems.
• Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions.
• Study drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical publications for repairs.
• Maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions.
• Operate and test GSE to determine serviceability and proper operation.
• Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment.
• Provide dispatch service to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and tool control; ensure environmental compliance.
