Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to support our FRC ASE Depot Site in San Diego, CA. The mechanic diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment, performs maintenance, trains junior staff, maintains records, and uses diagnostic tools and test equipment.

Travel to remote locations may be required. Minimum: high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience; ability to obtain government security clearance and pass medical and background checks;

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years recent experience in maintenance/repair of powered ground support equipment.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass medical examinations as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Perform maintenance actions on GSE; inspect and approve completed work.
• Maintain equipment records and documentation of maintenance actions.
• Operate and test GSE to verify serviceability and proper operation.
• Provide dispatch support and assist with safety and housekeeping tasks.
