Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic in the United States to diagnose malfunctions and repair GSE. Responsibilities include training junior staff, documenting maintenance actions, and ensuring safe operation of ground support systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance (US citizenship required).
• Two years’ experience on diesel generators and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair GSE.
• Train and advise lower grade workers.
• Monitor maintenance trends and document actions using maintenance data systems.
• Maintain external fuel and grounding systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and test operation of GSE.
• Handle hazardous materials per regulations.
• Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment.
• Provide dispatch and support for aircraft maintenance operations.
