Job summary

Plantible Foods is a biology company seeking a proven commercial developer to own a named account list and drive revenue under the Head of Commercial Development. You will guide customers through value realization, specify trials, and translate requirements into development plans.

You will negotiate pricing, manage forecasts, and push for development agreements while leveraging expertise in functional ingredients to deliver measurable cost-in-use and performance benefits.

Qualifications

• Sold functional ingredients into confectionery, bakery or condiments and closed the deals.
• 5+ years with functional ingredients; knowledge of gelation, emulsification, water binding and heat stability.
• Carried a quota in an early-stage ingredient business and grew a book from early revenue toward scale (0–$50M).
• Technical degree in food science, chemical engineering or equivalent lab/plant fluency.
• Hands-on product development experience in bench, pilot, sensory, shelf life, scale-up, QA or regulatory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a named account list; prospect, qualify, close and reorder.
• Carry a sales number and report against it weekly.
• Negotiate pricing, volume commitments and development agreements.
• Translate customer formulation and process constraints into actionable trials and product specs.
