Job summary

Plantible Foods is building a commercial mission to replace conventional ingredients with plant-based solutions. As a commercial role, you will own a named account list, carry a number and report weekly, negotiating pricing and development agreements while translating customer needs into actionable trials.

You will work with R&D and customers to quantify cost-in-use and yield benefits, drive product innovation from customer requirements, and grow a book from early revenue toward scale in

Qualifications

• 5+ years with functional ingredients including proteins, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, enzymes or starches.
• Carried a quota in an early-stage ingredient business and grew a book from early revenue toward scale (0→$50M).
• Technical degree in food science, chemical engineering or equivalent, or equivalent fluency built in a lab or plant.
• Experience selling to confectionery, bakery, condiments or CP G accounts.

Responsibilities

• Own a named account list: prospect, qualify, close, reorder.
• Carry a number and report against it weekly.
• Negotiate pricing, volume commitments and development agreements.
• Translate customer formulation, process constraints and current ingredient cost stack.
• Specify and direct application trials; read results and decide the next iteration.
• Quantify customer benefits: cost-in-use, yield, label impact, and process improvements.
• Engage in customer pilot plants and know when answers are wrong.
• Drive BD innovation by challenging conventions and removing non-applicable rules.
• Channel customer requirements back into product development and specifications.
