Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with a growing Tampa-area organization to identify an experienced Accounting Coordinator. This role supports daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 2+ years in accounting coordination and strong Excel/ERP software skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting coordinator experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software such as NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist with accounts receivable, cash applications, and customer account maintenance.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and accounting issues.
• Maintain vendor and customer records within the accounting system.
• Support audits by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and workflows.
