Job summary

Valthos Inc. is seeking a Growth Operations lead to own the end-to-end pipeline across federal, national lab, and commercial customers, manage government affairs, and drive proposals and contracts to a funded close.

You will partner with Front Office, engineers, and founders to build playbooks, align product and delivery, and ensure cadence and accountability across the sales and grants process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in growth operations, business development, or related growth roles in fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on BD pipeline management: dashboards, schemas, and workflows with team accountability.
• Strong PM skills; drives multi-stakeholder processes to on-time results.
• Financial/analytical fluency; able to forecast pipeline health from numbers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for proposals and investor updates.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, conferences, and government facilities.
• Bias to action and ownership; capable of unblocking the team by acting directly.

Responsibilities

• Run the pipeline: qualify and prioritize opportunities across federal, national lab, and commercial customers; lead weekly reviews; enforce milestones.
• Coordinate government affairs and lobbying activities; track policy and regulatory activity relevant to biodefense and biosecurity.
• Represent Valthos at conferences and events; build relationships with program managers and contracting officers.
• Drive end-to-end proposals, contracts, and procurement; manage SBIR/STTR, OTA, BAAs, and large commercial responses.
• Build and refine the growth playbook; convert wins/losses into repeatable patterns.
• Align engineering/product feeds with sales; close the feedback loop to the roadmap.
• Own operating cadence: meetings, calendars, updates, and action tracking across teams.
• Perform general operations duties as needed to keep the company moving.
