Job summary

Columbia Bank in Novato, CA is seeking a Personal Banker to deliver exceptional client experiences and grow client relationships through needs-based conversations, product recommendations, and referrals to partners.

Responsibilities include opening consumer and business accounts, originating consumer and small business loans, handling cash accurately, and maintaining a high level of service per Breakthrough Client Experience Standards; NMLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Teller or other banking experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of Consumer products and services and consumer lending.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform calculations.
• Pursue NMLS licensing within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experiences per Breakthrough Client Experience Standards.
• Open Consumer and Business accounts for new and existing clients.
• Originate consumer loans and some small business lending opportunities.
• Engage clients in financial reviews to identify needs and provide solutions.
• Refer clients to internal partners and support teller functions when needed.
