Job summary

Columbia Bank in Eureka, CA is seeking a Personal Banker to provide exceptional client experiences at our on-site branch. You will open consumer and business accounts, grow relationships, and refer clients to bank partners while addressing inquiries promptly.

You will also help uncover lending opportunities, handle cash accurately, and balance drawers as you expand your consumer lending skills in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 year teller or other banking experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
• Ability and desire to actively develop consumer lending skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
• Proficient in expanding the client relationship with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing relationships utilizing a personal and business bio and rapport with customers.
• Ability to obtain a Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experience by following Breakthrough Client Experience Standards.
• Open consumer and business accounts for existing and new clients and refer clients to internal partners.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries and resolve client issues with follow-through.
• Build relationships with clients through financial reviews and needs-based recommendations.
• Support teller functions when needed and assist with cash handling and balancing.
