Job summary

Bob’s Carpet & Flooring is seeking a Retail General Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our multi-location stores. You will drive growth, elevate store performance, and cultivate a culture of accountability and excellence.

In this salary plus commission role, you will partner with executive leadership on sales strategy, budgets, and talent development, with the option to work remotely after onboarding and travel to locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 7–10+ years of experience in multi-unit retail management.
• Proven leadership in sales, team development, and operational excellence.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and budget management skills.
• Confident communicator and problem-solver with a collaborative mindset.
• Flooring industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Execute Sales Strategy: Drive weekly sales performance through goal alignment and execution.
• Lead & Execute Sales Strategy: Analyze trends and forecast sales in collaboration with Finance and Leadership.
• Lead & Execute Sales Strategy: Co-develop commission structures and growth initiatives that motivate teams and meet budget goals.
• Oversee Store Operations & Merchandising: Ensure brand consistency across stores through high merchandising standards and seasonal floor sets.
• Oversee Store Operations & Merchandising: Manage store promotions and inspect locations for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Develop Talent & Build Teams: Lead monthly Store Manager meetings to support alignment and engagement.
• Develop Talent & Build Teams: Own the full hiring lifecycle for store leadership roles, including training and development.
• Develop Talent & Build Teams: Design product knowledge and customer engagement programs that drive results.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: Serve as a key escalation point for complex customer issues.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: Manage vendor partnerships and oversee CSI programs to ensure service excellence.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: Support resolution of claims and lien issues when necessary.
• Financial & Strategic Oversight: Monitor store budgets and P&L performance for efficiency and profitability.
• Financial & Strategic Oversight: Work with store leaders to reduce aged inventory and improve stock turnover.
• Financial & Strategic Oversight: Participate in corporate strategy discussions and retail growth planning.
