Job summary

Valley Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to grow branch relationships and acquire new clients through sales execution and proactive cross-selling. You will deliver exceptional service while leveraging knowledge of bank products to meet client needs.

You will open accounts, discuss loans, promote online banking, and support CRA initiatives. Strong communication, accuracy, and cash-handling skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; minimum one year in customer service or retail with cash handling.
• Preferred: 1 year in business services or branch operations, and related degrees.
• Knowledge of banking products and sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive branch growth by deepening existing relationships and acquiring new ones.
• Provide exceptional customer service aligned with the bank's mission.
• Open new accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs) and discuss loan products.
• Educate customers on bank products and cross-sell to meet financial needs.
• Promote online and mobile banking capabilities and maintain service standards.
• Participate in community events and CRA initiatives; ensure compliance with policies.
