Job summary

Valley Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to grow the branch by deepening existing client relationships and by proactively acquiring new ones through consultative sales and cross-selling. You will deliver high-quality service aligned with our mission, helping clients meet financial goals.

You will open new accounts, discuss loan products, and promote online banking while maintaining cash handling integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting, business, finance, economics or related field.
• FIS/IBS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive branch growth by deepening existing customer relationships and acquiring new ones through sales execution and cross selling.
• Deliver excellent customer service aligned with the bank's mission, engaging customers professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank products and services and cross-sell to meet financial needs.
• Present a confident, professional demeanor to establish trust and identify customer needs.
• Meet with customers to conduct financial needs assessments, open new accounts, and discuss/sell loan products.
• Promote online and mobile banking capabilities.
• Ensure service quality standards and assist management in coaching branch staff.
• Handle customer transactions accurately with cash drawers and teller equipment.
• Support CRA initiatives and participate in community events.
• Adhere to code of conduct and bank policies.
