Job summary

Banner Industries is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to establish, maintain, and expand customer relationships, driving revenue and preserving customer retention. The role involves servicing current accounts, up-selling, and managing inquiries to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly.

The position offers compensation of $24–$28 per hour plus bonus, with opportunities to contribute to a growing sales pipeline and gain product and market knowledge in a metals-related distribution environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in sales support with customer relationship responsibilities.
• Knowledge of sales techniques and processes.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationships with customers.
• Demonstrated sales and servicing skills with strong achievement orientation.
• Problem solving skills with ability to develop innovative solutions to customer problems.
• Demonstrated mathematical understanding and application.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales and opportunity pipeline metrics which support achievement of commercial sales profit / revenue goals.
• Responsible for servicing, up-selling and cross selling to existing customers.
• Responds to general line customer inquiries via phone, fax or email and provides efficient high level servicing to customer to maximize order and/or problem resolution.
• Quotes prices, determines material availability, and provides delivery commitments to obtain orders.
• Initiates calls to customers to progress opportunities and follows up on quotes, leads, and dormant accounts.
• Handles customer calls relating to complaints, investigates issues, and follows up to ensure resolution.
• Enters orders into the system and interprets customer prints to quote/enter orders.
