Job summary

Dan and Jerry’s Greenhouses is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations in a hands-on, growth-focused role. Reporting to the CFO, you will supervise GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting.

You will shape costing, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP integration while driving internal controls and risk management. You will mentor the accounting team, partner with department leaders, and provide accurate financial

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA desired but not required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with increasing responsibility.
• 2+ years in Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Guide day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Manage month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Oversee inventory valuation, production costing, and profitability measurement.
