Little Leaf Farms seeks an Assistant Operations Controller to join our finance team and drive key manufacturing accounting activities for our greenhouse operations. This role offers a clear pathway toward a controllership position for a candidate with strong finance talent.

You will partner with site operations leaders to manage inventory, COGS, standard costs, variances, and month-end close, while developing internal controls and cost analysis.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance.
• CPA or other relevant certifications or a master’s degree would be a plus.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in agriculture or CEA a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical skills relating operational activities to financial outcomes.
• Willingness to advance toward greenhouse controllership.

Responsabilidades

• Support accounting for greenhouse operations including inventory, COGS, manufacturing expenses and accruals.
• Assist with standard cost process, updates and cost assumptions.
• Analyze financial data related to manufacturing costs, variances and usage.
• Review inventory transactions and ensure accuracy of inventory valuation.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting for greenhouse operations.
• Develop recommendations to improve internal controls and cost accounting processes.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on budgets and cost reduction initiatives.
• Mentor finance staff to execute close processes at multiple sites.
