Job summary

Green Thumb Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Facility Plant Controller to join our Operations Finance team. You will manage monthly financial closings, budgeting, forecasts, and capital project evaluations, while supporting plant operations with detailed financial analysis.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across accounting, operations, and leadership to deliver accurate reporting, KPI insights, and cost improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of total accounting experience and 5+ years in operations finance/cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Mastery of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing of financials for facility in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.
• Prepare monthly analysis of financial results including variance / bridging analysis with GM and operations staff.
• Coordinate and oversee physical inventories, SOX, and audits with plant sites.
• Prepare daily/weekly labor utilization plan, including headcount and overtime reporting.
• Lead and prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to prior year.
• Coordinate evaluation of capital projects and approval process.
• Maintain fixed asset register and monthly depreciation figures.
• Perform operational analysis, trend projections and forecasting.
• Lead site level financial meetings and provide visibility to business partners for decision making.
• Review site performance and KPI data, analyze root causes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes, productivity and quality while reducing costs.
• Provide reports to manufacturing heads to manage department expenses.
• Work with operations finance to determine standard costs for raw materials, inventory and labor.
• Monitor and maintain inventory reporting and control at the site.
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist ERP project implementation and lead site-level ERP implementation.
• Hire, train, and develop site-level finance resources.
• Provide financial support to GM and other staff as needed.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects.
