Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Plant Controller at our manufacturing facility in Virginia. You will be a key member of the Operations Finance team, reporting to plant management and partnering with the GM to ensure timely and accurate financial information and operational insights.

The role combines accounting with plant operations, including monthly closings, budgeting, cost control, inventory, and ERP implementation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 8+ years accounting experience and 5+ years operations finance/cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly financials for the facility per GAAP and company policy.
• Analyze monthly results with variance/bridging analysis with GM and operations staff.
• Oversee inventories, SOX, audits at plant sites.
• Prepare labor utilization plans, headcount and overtime reporting.
• Lead annual budget and monthly forecasts; compare to prior year and plans.
• Evaluate capital projects and approvals.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
• Provide financial visibility to business partners for decision making.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Provide reports to department heads for managing expenses.
