Job summary

Blue Signal is seeking a hands-on Controller to strengthen the accounting foundation while leading the team through growth. The role partners with senior finance and operations to own reporting, controls, capital assets, and process improvement in a capital-intensive environment.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership, strong US GAAP expertise, and proven ability to manage close processes, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license and bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience at Controller/Assistant Controller level.
• Experience in capital-intensive industries and strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to lead month/quarter/year-end closes and deliver audit-ready reports.

Responsibilities

• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with accurate, timely reporting.
• Guide accounting for revenue, leases, debt, intercompany, and other material arrangements.
• Oversee reconciliations, accruals, journal activity, and financial statements.
• Develop policies, internal controls, and documentation to support growth.
• Lead fixed asset and capital project accounting, including CIP and depreciation.
• Coordinate external audit and tax activities with audit-ready records.
• Improve systems and workflows through ERP optimization and automation.
• Develop accounting talent and partner with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
