Job summary

Carter Bankshares in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Business Banker to build and manage relationships with local companies generating $1–$10MM in revenue. You will originate business loans, deposits, and fee income while guiding clients through cash management solutions and strategic financial planning.

You will collaborate with internal partners to deliver full banking relationships, analyze creditworthiness, and support the sales plan while representing the bank in community events and networking

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• Business development experience required.
• Prior experience in business lending and/or credit required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow loan, deposit, and fee income.
• Engage with local business owners to create lending opportunities.
• Assess clients' financial goals and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with bank partners to deepen relationships.
• Represent the bank at community events and networking opportunities.
• Analyze financial statements and collateral to determine creditworthiness.
• Support efficient loan approval with clear communication.
• Manage a large loan portfolio with risk management and customer experience in mind.
