Job summary

Carter Bank is seeking a Business Banker to develop and maintain an active prospect list, customer outreach plan, and quality referral sources for companies with $1–$10MM revenue. You will be the primary contact for borrowing needs and advise on deposits and cash flow management.

In collaboration with internal partners, you will build and manage full banking relationships, represent the bank in the community, and contribute to loan growth, asset quality, and overall customer experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's preferred
• Experience in business lending and credit required
• Ability to analyze financial status and collateral
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proven sales planning and forecasting abilities

Responsibilities

• Make a significant impact by contributing to the bank's growth through loans, deposits, and fee income
• Leverage networks to engage with local business owners to develop lending opportunities
• Work with clients to identify financial goals and how to reach them
• Collaborate with bank partners to support and deepen client relationships
• Represent the bank at community events
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and collateral to determine creditworthiness
• Engage in an efficient loan approval process with credit partners
• Manage a large loan portfolio to ensure risk management and good customer experience
