Job summary

Carter Bank in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Commercial Banker to generate loans, deposits and fee income through prospecting, analyzing, underwriting, approving and closing relationships with individuals, businesses and professionals.

You will call on existing and potential customers, solicit full banking relationships, interview lending applicants, work with Credit partners, and make loan decisions within policy. A Bachelor’s degree and banking experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent in education and experience.
• Prior banking experience in commercial lending.
• Strong sales, written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Calls on existing and potential customers to develop new business and/or expand and retain current business.
• Solicits total banking relationships by working with all lines of business partners to demonstrate full scope of bank products and services.
• Interviews commercial lending applicants to develop information concerning their businesses, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk.
