Job summary

Mars in Franklin, TN seeks a Business Development Manager, Insights & Analytics to translate market signals into demand actions for our field teams. This role focuses on performance tracking, category insights, and data storytelling using internal and external sources.

You will impact the delivery of the business plan through dashboards and proactive insights, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. MBA preferred; 5+ years in CPG required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in CPG, working with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing Services or similar.
• Experience in reporting/analytics and/or account management.
• Understanding of industry & trade channels.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments vs forecast vs plan vs consumption to understand upside/gaps.
• Evaluate whether mix supports financial goals.
• Analyze performance at total/segment/brand/sku/customer levels and identify trends.
• Flag issues early and propose corrective actions.
• Provide point of view on in-period/full-year delivery of the Shipment Plan.
• Build dashboards/reports using internal capabilities and/or 3rd-party resources to drive insights to action.
• Support Annual Business Planning; interface with Customer Pods & Portfolio Growth Teams.
• Contribute as a high-performing team member and push for breakthrough thinking.
