Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke is seeking a Business Development Coordinator in Philadelphia to support the Private Equity + Investment Funds practice. You will assist in strategic BD initiatives, craft tailored pitch materials, and coordinate events with attorneys and the BD team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of marketing and business development experience, preferably within a law firm or a professional services organization.
• Prior successful work history supporting a legal practice or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
• Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
• Assist in the creation of high quality, tailored pitch materials, responses to RFPs and client presentations.
• Assist with the development of legal directory and award submissions and regular league table submissions.
• Assist with the development and distribution of client alerts, newsletters, blogs, and other thought leadership pieces.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of events, sponsorships, webinars and speaking engagements.
• Work with the firm’s communications team to promote the successes and legal expertise of the group’s attorneys.
• Identify cross-practice connections and opportunities for practices to increase internal visibility.
• Handle InterAction-related functions—develop and maintain marketing lists and business development activities, research, reports.
• Work collaboratively with the firm’s Practice Management department to assist with internal organizational efforts of the group.
