Job summary

ConnectOne Bank in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Banking Relationship Specialist to acquire, retain, and expand relationships for business and consumer clients. You will support the branch with a strong People First culture and cross-sell products while ensuring compliance and service excellence.

You will open deposit accounts, educate clients on services, handle inquiries, and assist with teller duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong needs-based sales skills.
• One to three years bank platform sales and teller experience.
• Detailed understanding of federal banking compliance.
• Strong 'People First' interest and ability.
• Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs.
• To support business needs, ability to work a flexible schedule is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients by name and maintain a professional demeanor as part of the Branch team.
• Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services in a consultative manner.
• Perform account opening for deposits and educate clients on offerings.
• Ensure compliance with operational, security and control procedures.
• Handle customer service issues by researching, owning, and following up daily.
• Assist branch team with transactions and coaching to improve performance.
• Serve as primary back-up to Branch Manager for operations as needed.
• Assist with Teller functions including remote and drive-up transactions.
• Support branch sales objectives and maintain high service levels.
• Participate in community events to promote the brand.
